The U.S. wants to create a security threat in Iran through "small puppet countries" in the region, but Iran is ready to confront them, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said before leaving for New York.

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 24, ARTSAKHPRESS: According to him, the Americans want to create chaos and unrest in order to create conditions for their return to Iran, as it was in the past, but this is impossible.
“But our people will resist and the government is ready to confront America. We will overcome this situation and America will regret choosing the wrong path,” the Independent reported quoting Rouhani.
“The small puppet countries in the region are backed by America, and the United States is provoking them and giving them the necessary capabilities,” he added.
As reported earlier, the terror attack took place on September 22 during the parade of military units which was held on the occasion of the beginning of the Sacred Defense Week.
