Karabakh wines have prospects in Russian market
The wine makers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, want to expand into the Russian market. As Artsakhpress reports Karen Asoyan, who is Armenia’s trade representative in Russia, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, Russia’s leading wine experts visited Armenia last year. “Upon my request, they also went to Artsakh, since the [NKR capital city] Stepanakert Wine Factory is preparing to enter the Russian market, [and] with large volumes of product. The Russian specialists gave a very high assessment to the factory’s output level.
So, no quality requirements will be made of it [the factory] abroad,” Asoyan noted. He added that the state agencies of Armenia stand ready to provide any logistical support to the NKR enterprises, to promote their products in Russia.
