STEPANAKERT, MAY 13, ARTSAKHPRESS: Acting head of Mets Tagher community Andrey Altunyan told "Artsakhpress" that the village has a school where 236 pupils attend. The school is old and needs repairing. The number of children attending the kindergarten is 66. The community is provided with a first-aid post.
"The village club is being renovated by means of the Artsakh state budget. In the first phase, the roof of the building has been changed, and now the interior and exterior finishing works are being implemented. We also have a 200-seat celebration hall. It also needs repairing. The village is gasified, we have 24-hour water supply. Since 2015, the works of paving and improving intercommunity roads have been implemented.
Three times a week residents of the village use the Stepanakert-Mets Tagher route, "said the leader of the community.
According to him, 20-40 births are registered in the village annually. In 2018, Mets Tagher had 25 births, and in January-April of the current year- 7 births.
Altunyan also said that there are many families living in Mets Tagher. 6 families have been provided with a new apartment by the state. In 2018, an apartment was built for a large family in the village and on May 10, 2019, the family of Narek Avetisyan, a resident of the Mets Tagher community of Hadrut region celebrated housewarming as part of the Housing for Wounded Soldiers initiative of Tufenkian Charitable Foundation.
